  The first step is to contact us with your order requirements (i.e. quantities and the date you require them by), and your medal design/concept. 

• DESIGN PROOF AND QUOTE
  Once we have your design/concept, we will (at no cost to you) create a design/layout artwork proof.  We will send both the proof and a quotation with our best price, back to you for review.  

• SAMPLE
  Once the artwork proof is approved by you, we will arrange the production of a sample medal.  A small mold tooling and freight charge are required prior the sample medal being manufactured.  Images of sample medal can be reviewed electronically, saving the freight charge. 

• PRODUCTION
  Once you approve the sample, we can commence mass production of your medals.  Please note that full payment of the medal order is required, prior to commence of medal mass production. You will not need to pay for mold creation again for the production run. 

• SHIPPING/COLLECTION
  

  Once production of your medals are complete, we can ship your order to you direct, or you can collect from us if preferred.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

• CAN I REVISE MY DESIGN AFTER THE SAMPLE HAS BEEN PRODUCED?
  Since the mold has already been created (to produce your sample medal), we cannot make further revisions. We strongly suggest you to confirm all details of your design before sampling.

• WHAT IS SOFT ENAMEL?
  A range of procedures or materials can be filled with soft enamel colours including stamped brass, photo-etched brass, die-cast zinc alloy and spin-cast pewter. Soft enamel medals are usually a bit cheaper than hard enamel or imitation hard enamel medals. Colours can be mixed to the pantone numbers as per your requirements. Colours are stored in syringes and applied by injection.

• WHAT IS IMITATION HARD ENAMEL?
  Imitation hard enamel is also termed named soft cloisonné, or synthetic cloisonné. It is filled into the stamped metal first and then polished and electroplated . It is hard to tell the difference between real hard enamel and imitation hard enamel colours, but if you penetrate the colour parts with knife point, imitation hard enamel colours will show visible marks, however true hard enamel colours won't, due to the hardness of the material.

• WHAT IS PHOTO-ETCHING?
  Photo-etching is a process where prepare a film with your design and then transfer your design from the film onto a sheet of brass. Your design will be etched by acid chemical onto the brass, which will then be electroplated and colour-filled.

• CAN I HAVE MY LOGO AND/OR MESSAGE ON MY MEDAL'S LANYARDS?
  Yes, at no extra cost, we will print your logo, message (or both) on the lanyards. Please note however, that if the length of the repeated lanyard design (message only or message plus logo) is greater than 230mm, there would be extra imprint mold(s) cost. Extra costs may apply for multiple imprinted colours.

• WHAT IS DIE-CASTING?
  Die-casting is a metal casting process that is characterized by forcing molten metal under high pressure into a cavity (mold). Once the cavity is filled, the pressure is maintained until the casting solidifies after cooling down. The half-finished products are then polished, electroplated and colour-filled.

• ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN CHARGES OR COSTS?
  No, there are NO hidden setup charges or costs. The quotation we provide is the exact and only cost you need to pay.

• CAN I GET A SAMPLE OF MY MEDAL DESIGN?
  Yes, you can get pre-production samples before ordering large orders, however you will need to pay for sample cost (mold casting and shipping). When you place the main order for mass production after sample approval, the sample costs will be deducted from your final cost.
